ABOUT
WELCOME

The area of Dumfries and Galloway is a less travelled gem of Scotland and the UK but there is an abundance of walks, cycle trails and local activities, with a multitude of events, for you to discover and enjoy. Close by are beautiful beaches and woods to take a stroll in quiet reflection.
The perfect location of this B&B ensures you can enjoy peace and tranquillity in a relaxing atmosphere whilst still only being a short walk into the delightful town of Kirkcudbright (pronounced kur-coo-bree) and in a prime position to explore Dumfries and Galloway.
I would like to extend a very warm welcome to my home, Barrhill Woods Bed and Breakfast. My B&B enjoys an elevated position above this gorgeous harbour town just below Barrhill Woods. The location means you can enjoy stunning views of the River Dee and the town from the guest lounge or the guest sun room.
The bright blue bungalow affords elegant comfort in recently renovated bedrooms, with a choice of either en-suite bathrooms or one with a private bathroom which is set up with facilities for those who have mobility impairments.
My name is Dee and I live in this stunning corner of Scotland with my two dogs and cat (who have limited access to the guest areas).
The wildlife in the area is varied, so it pays to stop and listen, you never know what you may see. In Barrhill Woods there is a wildlife hide, free to visit, with many species to observe, if you are lucky you may see the cute red squirrels.
The town has an abundance of independent local shops and many galleries to peruse, I would highly recommend a wander around.
You are also welcome to just sit in the guest lounge or sunroom to rest your weary body and mind and recharge your batteries.
If you are the creative type, it could very well be a place to work on your next project, whatever that may be.
If adventure and exploring is what you enjoy there are many, many places to find.

I look forward to welcoming you.
